Today I would be sharing my experience for WordCamp Ahmedabad 2017.
Firstly, if you don’t know what is WordCamp, let me tell you that; WordCamp are “Not for Profit” event organised by local community people who loves . To see upcoming WordCamp you can view this link:- http://central.wordcamp.org/schedule
To tell you first about WordCamp Ahmedabad 2017, it was organised by Local community of Ahmedabad led by many core team of contributors who organised the event and was scheduled for 3 days event for 6th, 7th and 8th Oct 2017 in L.J. We started (WCMumbai Team) started our journey on 5th Oct to Ahmedabad from Mumbai in Duronto Express. We reached on 6th morning to Ahmedabad. Had tea and Jalebi Fafda in breakfast before heading to event.
The 3 day event was designed such a way:-
Day 1(6th Oct) – Wiki How Day (Mostly focused on newbies)
Day 2(7th Oct) – Geeks Day (Mostly focused on core technical stream)
Day 3(8th Oct) – Contributor Day (Mostly focused on how to contribute different ways to WP)
WCAhmedabad had made a great rangoli to welcome all the attendees
The registration of WordCamp Ahmedabad 2017 had 2 separate tickets for Day 1 & Day 2.

Event started with the volunteers helping at the registration desk to give out the entry card and coupons for lunch/breakfast.

Most of attendees were college students, who wished to get knowledge about WordPress or planning to start with WordPress.

Day 2 – Geeks Day
If you are in Ahmedabad and doesn’t have “Fafda – Jalebi”, you are surely missing out many things. Day 2 started with awesome breakfast.
Some moments of day 2:
WebbyMonks organized a Quiz competition for all attendee, just by answering 10 simple question you get a chance to win cool T-Shirt. Though I was not lucky enough to win in since passing criteria was 70/100. I scored 60/100 (Bad luck)
Attendee were excited and were waiting for their turn to come for the quiz.
The event had a great networking are around the stall to chit-chat and interact with WP lovers. This is the main zone were people of different skill set come and interact with each-other.
BaapWP Team(Saurabh Shukla & Ashish Ingle) along with Blueshost India took interview of many WP lovers asking few basic question of WordPress to qualify for lucky draw.
The swags for the lucky winners of the contest was suppose to get following items.

When we talk about equality in society Women also hold an equal position in the community. Women in WordPress are surely strength to local community, Meher from WPMumbai trying hard to get and build and bring all Women together. Its surely great activity .

Many contribution were made to the community.
This was all about the event, now lets talk little about Post event. There was After party organized by the team along with DJ. Saw awesome moments of Garba on DJ. Also we did managed to roam around the city for some time.
In short it was a great event to remember. And yes I did learnt many things from many attendees around.
