Today, see how to add custom domain name for blogs created on blogger.com
Pointing custom domain for blogger is free of charge.
Pointing custom domain can be for top level domain or sub-domain
www.yourdomain.com or sub.yourdomain.com
Step 1: Go to Dashboard
Step 2: Select the Setting option from the drop-down for your blog
Step 3: From the Basic setting, under Publishing click on “Add a custom domain”
Step 4: Before we add the custom, its better the domain should be registered from your end. You should have DNS activated in your domain control panel from your domain registrar.
Step 5: Select the top-level domain or sub-domain which you want to the blog for your domain.
Step 6: Click on “Switch to advance settings”
Step 7: Add your required domain or sub-domain
Step 8: Click on “Save”
Step 9: For top level domain add the CNAME record for
“www” as ghs.google.com and
“some-record” as “some-secret-code-needs-to-be-added”
and for sub-domain
“you sub-domain” as ghs.google.com
“some-record” as “some-secret-code-needs-to-be-added”

Step 11: After adding the record, again try to save the blog.
Step 12: Your custom domain is ready and pointing to your blog.

Hi ,
I started my blogging with subdomain and now i moved to custom domain
i just wanted to ask you on moving from subdomain to custom , whatever backlinks which were achieved from subdomain will it be lost or redirected to custom domain
