How to create database and database user for MySQL in cPanel

This is a Small tutorial for creating database and database user for MySQL from cPanel

Step 1: Log in to your cPanel account.

Step 2: Click on “MySQL Databases” under “Databases”

Step 3: Enter the database name you want to create and click “Create Database”. You get a success message and your database is ready.

Step 4: In that same page, you will see MySQL users, Enter your MySQL user details and click on “Create User”

Step 5: After you successfully created database user, you need to assign that user to database you created in Step 2.

Scrolling below you will see “Add User To Database”

Step 6: From the drop down select the user and database respectively you created in Step 2 and Step 4. Click “Add”

Step 7: While adding user to database you need to assign privileges  for that user, if you are the owner of that database you can assign all privileges for that user and click on “Make Changes”.
